Engineered by GashWare & JG Computers • Windows, Linux & Firefox
An ultra-fast parallel download accelerator engineered with dynamic work-stealing, zero-loss crash recovery, full Firefox Extension integration, YouTube playlist media extraction, and a high-performance Matrix Rain HUD. Maximize your bandwidth up to 100% capacity.
Traditional downloaders freeze on the last 5% or drop connections when servers choke. Turbo Download Manager dynamically redistributes chunks, hooks your browser seamlessly, and journals byte state in real time.
When fast worker threads finish their allocated byte range early, they automatically split and steal the remaining byte range of the slowest active threads. Zero idle time.
Every active download writes atomized chunk boundaries to an encrypted metadata sidecar (.tdm.meta). If power fails or internet disconnects, resume immediately without redownloading a single byte.
Native Firefox extension captures file and media links instantly with zero configuration. Includes smart offline bypass so browser downloads never stall if desktop app is closed.
Hover over any online video to trigger the floating quick-download overlay. Extract full YouTube playlists into 1080p/4K MP4 or pure high-fidelity 320kbps MP3 audio with single clicks.
Powered by a multi-threaded Python/PIL raster engine. Generates digital rain waterfalls at smooth 60 FPS without touching UI thread latency.
Includes the standalone turbo-cli binary. Script batch downloads, integrate into CI/CD pipelines, or run on headless Linux cloud servers seamlessly.
Never copy-paste URLs manually again. The official Turbo Download Manager Firefox Add-on captures downloads the instant you click them and hands them over to the high-performance desktop engine.
Zero-latency handover from Firefox directly into the desktop acceleration engine.
If the desktop app is closed, downloads automatically continue through normal browser downloading.
Interactive quick-action overlay appearing on HTML5 video players for 1-click video saving.
One-click Turbo DM button injected directly next to YouTube playlist controls with custom folder creation, MP3/MP4 choice, and automated track numbering.
Toggle between aesthetics seamlessly with instant UI colorway rebuilding and dynamic hover states.
Turbo Download Manager isn't just a GUI app. Built into every release is turbo-cli, a fully standalone command-line client with live ncurses thread monitors, background daemon support, and piping options.
Packaged for enterprise-grade deployment on Windows 10/11, Linux, and Mozilla Firefox. 100% Freeware with clean uninstallation and zero telemetry.
Full production Windows MSI installer. Start Menu & Desktop shortcuts, environment registration, and clean uninstallation.
Zero-installation standalone portable archive. Unzip and run directly from any folder or USB flash drive.
Cross-distribution package with automated installer (install_linux.sh) and desktop launcher.
Official Firefox add-on. Automatic download interception, video hover button, YouTube playlist grabber, and instant desktop acceleration.
Turbo Download Manager is completely free of charge—no monthly subscriptions, no gated speed tiers, no ads, and no hidden tracking. If this tool saves you time, helps you download large ISOs at lightning speeds, or you just appreciate independent software, consider buying me a beer or leaving a tip!

Everything you need to know about Turbo Download Manager's acceleration architecture, security, and usage.
Yes, Turbo Download Manager is 100% freeware and open-source under the MIT license. There are no paywalls, subscriptions, advertisements, or telemetry tracking. If you'd like to support continued development, you can optionally contribute via our developer tip jar.
Standard browsers download files in a single stream over 1 connection. Turbo Download Manager splits files into dynamic multi-threaded byte ranges (up to 32 streams) and uses dynamic work-stealing algorithms. When fast connections finish chunks early, they actively steal unassigned byte ranges from lagging streams, saturating your full ISP bandwidth.
The Firefox Extension communicates locally with Turbo Download Manager in the background. If Turbo DM is running, clicks and detected media are instantly queued for acceleration. If Turbo DM is closed, the extension's offline fallback ensures normal Firefox browser downloads proceed seamlessly without delay.
Turbo Download Manager uses atomic zero-loss chunk verification. It continuously writes chunk states to disk journals (.tdm.meta). If interrupted, simply relaunch or resume the download, and it will pick up byte-for-byte from where it paused without needing to redownload finished segments.
Turbo Download Manager runs natively on Windows 10, Windows 11 (via standard MSI installer or portable standalone ZIP) and Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Arch, RHEL) via native tar.gz source packages and automated installation scripts.
Yes! Every distribution includes the headless CLI engine (turbo-cli). You can trigger high-speed multi-threaded downloads from terminal scripts, SSH sessions, or cron jobs with custom thread counts and chunk flags.
